Majestic Mane Equine Wellness

My Mission

Horses at every stage of life carry tension—whether they are elite competitors, faithful lesson partners, or retired companions enjoying a slower pace. I create a space where their bodies and nervous systems can finally exhale. Through intentional, evidence-based bodywork, I help each horse find release, rhythm, and calm so they can move and compete from a place of ease instead of tension.

A Different Kind of Bodywork

Over 40 years of experience with horses and humans alike, I’ve learned that true performance doesn’t come from pushing harder—it comes from connecting and restoring harmony in the nervous system. Horses mirror the energy of the people who work with them; when we foster calm, they respond with trust and softness.

Many bodywork sessions start with a fixed routine. That’s what is taught in our profession. I start with a conversation-without saying a word. Horses communicate through subtle shifts: a blink, a breath change, a weight shift, a tail swish. From the moment I lay a hand on a horse, I am listening. I follow what they show me rather than forcing them into a preconceived sequence.

My approach is as much about presence as it is about technique; horses relax when the energy around them feels safe, steady, and focused. That’s the foundation of every session I provide. Each touch, breath, and movement in my sessions is guided by this principle. Instead of forcing pressure to knots, I wait for the horse to invite me in. When they indicate a spot of tension, I bring a centered, grounded energy that helps horses downshift from tension into release, allowing their nervous system time to process and let go. This constant, quiet back-and-forth—me asking, the horse answering—is what guides every session. Over time, this builds deep trust. Horses learn that I will not override their boundaries, and in that safety, they are willing to release layers of tension they’ve been holding for a very long time.

Every horse teaches me something about awareness, communication, and connection. Whether working at home or traveling to competitions, I balance structure with intuition—listening closely to what the horse shows me to connect and adapting each session to meet its physical and emotional needs in the moment.

My Philosophy

Horses are always talking; most of us were just never taught how to listen. My work is built on the belief that when a horse feels heard, they soften—muscles unwind, breathing slows, and their whole system shifts toward healing. Technique matters, but presence and respect matter just as much. I bring a steady, calming energy into every barn and every warm-up ring, holding a grounded space where both horse and human can settle.

For the horses who give you everything, my role is to be the one person in their week who asks for nothing—only listens, responds, and helps their body remember what it feels like to be comfortable in their own skin.
