Majestic Mane Equine Wellness

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your horse ridden regularly (3+ times/week)? Do you have a senior horse? Have you noticed any behavior changes lately? Is your horse recovering from an injury or lame? Does your horse have trouble bending one way (or both!)? If you answered yes to any of these questions, your horse will benefit from equine massage. I offer free consultations if you are still unsure.

I encourage all my clients to begin with craniosacral therapy. This is a great introduction for a horse new to hands on therapy work. It is very gentle and most horses are extremely receptive to it. It also helps me learn more about where the horse tends to hold their tension for future sessions.

I work with all breeds of horses and even mules and donkeys! It doesn’t matter if you ride western pleasure, hunter/jumper, eventing, dressage, barrel racing, reining, or you have a senior companion horse. All horses can benefit from massage.

Yes! I work with horse rescues and can negotiate more affordable rates for non-profit groups and occasionally do pro-bono work as well. Please contact me to discuss.

God bless the lesson horses. They are the bedrock of the horse world. They are patient, forgiving, dependable, quiet, and adaptable. They absolutely will benefit from massage. Please contact me with your situation and I will be happy to work with you.

Yes! As long as 2 or more horses are massaged at the same barn on the same day. Please contact me to discuss.

MFM is a serious muscle disorder that can keep performance horses from achieving their potential. While massage cannot cure MFM, it can be an important part of multi-disciplinary treatment plan to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. For horses with MFM, massage therapy can help relieve muscle stiffness, cramps, and pain while improving flexibility. Consult your veterinarian for further advice.

Some horses improve after the first session; sustained results usually come with regular care.

I currently care for equines across the Piedmont Triad area including Davie, Davidson, Forsyth, Iredell, Rowan, and Yadkin counties. Some locations may incur a travel fee. Please contact for more information.

Travel to horse shows is typically reserved for Concierge Performance Care clients. If you are interested in massage for a horse show, consider becoming a concierge client or contact me for availability and one-time fee pricing.

I currently do not offer PEMF (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Frequency) therapy. This may be a service we offer in the future, but not at this time. I encourage anyone who is interested in PEMF therapy to give craniosacral therapy a try as they both target the deeper muscles of the horse.

No, I am not a massage therapist of humans, only our equine friends!
